The Masters dessert is normally available at the concession stands during the tournament week. Yet, it made a no-show in last year’s event, which left a bad taste in the fans’ mouth.

However, the tournament organizers were quick to reverse their mistake and brought back the iconic sweet dish this year. The social media handles of the Masters proudly displayed the Georgia Peach Ice Cream Sandwich, which left fans wanting for more!

However, certain fans were left displeased after the dessert ran out of stock on the first day of the tournament itself. “They sold out of these yesterday before I went in for one…. Next time,” a fan commented. “Don’t have enough on hand. Sold out by lunchtime today. I’m disappointed,” said another dismayed fan.

Why was the Georgia Peach Ice Cream Sandwich absent last year?

Despite its popularity among the Masters crowd, the dish was omitted from the menu during the tournament last year. The reason? Like many other enterprises in the pandemic, Augusta National endured supply chain issues.

“Unfortunately, our supplier experienced quality control issues that prevented production. We share in the disappointment. We can’t wait to have one of our most popular concession items back next year,” a statement read.
