Recently, in The Loop podcast by Golf Digest, Borgmeier shared the exact way he felt after he beat Bryson DeChambeau in 2022. This confession came as a shock to many.

Martin Borgmeir confessed, “He was so competitive because he can change his launch characteristics in no time…he has more chances for really good bounces. Right?… I basically lived with him for half a year… We were doing so much practice together. So it was not like that so crazy intimidating that a lot of people might think.”

According to Borgmeier, DeChambeau was a rather highly competitive opponent to play against. He talked about their bonding on a personal level and how they had played together before. All in all, the confession made by Borgmeier has drawn the attention of the entirety of the golf world in these crucial moments before the upcoming 2023 World Long Drive Championship.
