The love affair between former POTUS Donald Trump and golf is an endearing story that has remained fresh for years now. Of late, the enthusiasm has dampened a bit after the potentially final LIV event to be held on a Trump-owned golf course got over. With this and a few other recent disappointments, like the LIV-PGAT merger trouble, etc., in the sport, energy was, to put it simply, a little low.

In such turbulent times, golf fans have undoubtedly been looking for a Trump update. This is because the golf world regularly, if not frequently, finds something new and amusing about the former POTUS, and this in turn lifts spirits. And now, finally, one such video has gone viral that has lifted the fans out of their lows and given them a sense of unity—even if it may just be a feeling of agitation!

Donald Trump pulls off an impressive feat with his swing

The Twitter page LIV Golf Nation recently posted a video of Donald Trump taking a powerful swing. The swing was tracked in a red line, and it measured 122 miles per hour. The page wrote this in the tweet: “Donald J. Trump: the most athletic President in US History.”

The post had some amusing comments. Some fans argued that there were other presidents who were more athletic. They even dropped names to support their claim. The names of former presidents Gerald Ford and George W. Bush came up a few times.

One comment took the time to get into the details of the swing and describe it closely. They claimed that it was overall a weak swing. It explained that instead of swinging through the ball, Trump was swinging at the ball.

Another comment contested the authenticity of the speed mentioned in the video. This is not new, though. There have been instances before where fans have claimed reports on Trump’s golf prowess were false.

It’s clear that Trump has once again united the golf world, albeit against him. After all, the rest of the golf world chimed in with similar feelings too!

Most of the comments were either seriously contesting the claim or trolling the former POTUS for it. Some mentioned other former presidents that they felt better suited for the praise, while others questioned the seriousness of the post. Here’s some of what they had to say:

One fan pointed out that former president Gerald Ford played for the Michigan Wolverines and was a two-time national championship winner. Thus, Trump could not be the “most athletic President.”

A witty golf fan mentioned a few other former Presidents who she felt were more athletic. She even cited that the current President was in better shape than Trump! No doubt a comment that may not sit well with the business tycoon!

A confused fan wondered if this post was satirical or not, for they truly believed the admin may have been under the influence of something when making the post.

Another vote for former President Ford came up with this comment. George W. Bush got another vote too.

This fan totally disregarded golf as a sport from being considered athletic. Undoubtedly, a few hundred golf pros would contest that!

One more fan raised the question of whether the account is a parody, shedding light on how the post could not have been genuine at all.
