LIV Golf Jeddah, the last event for the positioning of players and teams, concluded on October 15. Brooks Koepka won the individual title while Sergio Garcia’s FireBall GC won the title at the team event. Meanwhile, Talor Gooch won the LIV Golf points race and the individual season title with a whopping 192 points, 22 ahead of second-place holder Cameron Smith.

The event was significant in deciding player futures at LIV Golf. As a few of the players will get relegated based on their standings, one player in particular found himself out of the league and his team. Meanwhile, a rumor has started that Keegan Bradley will be replacing the relegated player.

At LIV Golf Jeddah, 48 players fought for a $25M prize pool in a 54-hole no-cut format, simultaneously, playing the teams competition. At the end of day 3, the overall standings were released for the 2023 season.

According to LIV Golf, players from the top 24 will secure their spot for the 2024 season. Those from 25 to 44 will be traded or released by the teams. The bottom four, however, will end up relegated. HyFlyers GC’s James Piot stood at 47 and got himself removed from the team, alongside Jediah Morgan, Sihwan Kim, and Chase Koepka, the tourney winner’s little brother.

LIV Golf Nation, a fan community made for LIV Golf, posted a preemptive update regarding the HyFlyers GC. The post indicated a potential new member’s entry into the team. The new update hinted that the rumors of Keegan Bradley joining LIV Golf might be true as the HyFlyers already have his best friends, Brandon Steele and Cameron Tringale. With Piot out, Bradley might just find an in into the tour alongside his buds.

Recently, a few PGA Tour players have signed with TGL, Tiger Woods’ new venture. The people were expecting them to sign with LIV Golf as well, especially Keegan Bradley. Reacting to the news of Piot going out and someone else turning in, fans shared their 2 cents. News of Piot’s ousting seems to be particularly disheartening, as the 25-year-old entered the tour in 2022 with a pretty big reputation as the winner of the US Amateur just the previous year.

“RIP Piot” fans react as James Piot’s LIV Golf career stands at risk

Beginning his professional career on a poor note, fans weren’t too enthusiastic about what the future might hold for James Piot. Sympathizing with Piot, this fan acted as if his career was over and wished him peace.

One fan suggested that HyFlyers captain Phil Mickelson should also be removed.

However, this wouldn’t be very likely; especially considering that captains are exempt from being relegated. Despite that, as No. 31, it is even more unlikely that Mickelson will be dropped at all.

Going sideways from the original tweet, this fan noted that if the league can manage to acquire bigger names from other tours, then the OWGR’s decision can be challenged. Something fans are hoping Bradley will take advantage of now, it seems.
