A new video has been doing rounds on the internet. It featured him showcasing his swing skills at the U.S. Junior Amateur at Oakland Hills.

The short clip posted by Golf Clips on YouTube shows how the kid has gained some muscle and height too. As per the information available, he is 5 feet and 11 inches. That’s quite close to Tiger Woods’s 6′ 1″ stature. Will Charlie surpass his father’s height? We will have to wait and watch, but let us not be too surprised if he does because he has, in fact, beaten Woods Sr in this department before too!

However, this is not the first time Charlie’s physique has been the talk of the town. In 2023, 14-year-old Charlie was doing great in golf, but one big difference between the father-son duo was their physiques. Charlie was taller and stronger than his dad was at 14. People noticed how big and strong Charlie’s arms and hands were. Even Min Woo Lee commented on this and talked about how Charlie’s “My guy’s arms and hands are massive.”

On the other hand, Tiger Woods looked comparatively small when he was younger. When he was just 14, he was approached by Jaime Diaz from Golf Digest to appear on their cover. It was late 1990, and the image was published in March 1991. In fact, there are old videos available, where the golfer can be seen practicing his swing.

But coming back to Charlie Woods, fans couldn’t believe how quickly he was growing. They took to the YouTube video’s comment section and shared their thoughts. What did they say?

Another fan pointed out the obvious and mentioned, “He went from 12 to 17 in 3 months.” And well, it is true. The kid is getting taller and stronger. His increasing height could help him with his swing speed and arc. Plus, let us not forget that Charlie dreams of winning the U.S. Open one day.

With time, he has also developed his gameplay, and this was visible at the 2024 South Florida Junior PGA Cup. Woods scored an impressive 68 in the second round, which helped him make it to the last round. He then made two important birdies to take the lead and eventually win the tournament.
