Golfers always have strange stories to tell about their careers. Now, if it’s an on-course story, that is even more exciting. One such PGA Tour golfer is currently around 50 years old and has had a vivid career, hence his satchel must be full of fables.
Thus, this 2009 Open Championship winner recently joined a radio show to talk about one of the hysterical experiences he recalls from 16 years back, while Tiger Woods lifted the trophy.
PGA Tour reflects on his bizarre on-course experience from the past

Stewart Cink is a player who joined the PGA Tour in 1997 and is from the era of the legendary Tiger Woods, when he was at his peak. And this player is often remembered in the PGA look-book for his epic playoff against Tiger Woods at the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational in 2006. Now, with a career span of more than 25 years, he must have enthralling stories in his bag, right?
Thus, he joined a podcast with the PGA Tour’s radio voice, Taylor Zarzour, and elucidated his hilarious experience at the PGA Championship 2007, held at Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In that show, he depicted one of his hilarious on-course experiences. He said, “2007 PGA and Tulsa Mills was the hottest I’ve ever been. It’s the only time I’ve ever changed shirts in the middle of around the tournament. You just like incredibly hot. That was when the PGA was in August; it was like low one hundred, very humid.” He narrated his experience at the major and said that during the month of August, the air was obnoxiously muggy in Oklahoma. For this reason, it was the first time in his career that he had to swap shirts amidst the event.

In addition to this, he also said, “And I was I sweated through my shirts so badly in the warm-up that I texted my wife and asked her to bring a shirt out. So she got me a shirt and I left my shirt in the Porta Johns on number two T, and Southern Hills emerged with a different shirt on, nice and fresh.”

At the beginning of round one, he carded four unsuccessful bogeys, which landed his score at 2-over par. Then in round two, he had bogeys on holes 13 and 17, making his score 70 at the end of the round. Following that in round three, he had plenty of single bogeys and one double bogey on hole 12, landing him at 72.

Finally, he concluded round four with a score of 72 and a few birdies on holes 4, 13, and 17. Thus, finally sealing the position of T32 on the leaderboard.
