The 67-year-old professional shook the entire golf world when he said that he wants to tee up at the 150th Open on July 10th. Norman spoke about the same in an interview with News Corp, in which he revealed“I’m filling out my entry form now, “I think I’m going.”I think I can still get in. It’s the 150th. I’m a past Open champion. I love St Andrews. If there’s a moment in time that I would consider going back and teeing off one last time.”

Norman has played his last professional event 10 years back in 2012, at the Australian PGA Championship. His last major championship event was the 2009 Open at Turnberry.

Moreover, Norman is a two-time winner at the British Open. He won the major championship event for the first time in 1986, and seven years after his first Claret Jug, he triumphed at the event once again in 1993. On top of that, the Shark has 27 appearances at the event from 1977 to 2009, and Norman has registered 10 top-10 finishes at the major championship. As a result, he made The Open probably one of his most favorites events ever.

However, the former World Number One is not eligible for the automatic qualification as a past champion because he is above 60 years. As a result, he will either have to qualify for the event or wait for an exemption from the event’s organizers. Moreover, Sir Nick Faldo, a six-time major championship winner, gave Greg’s latest speculations an incredible four-word reaction.

Faldo reacted to the Shark’s latest news, saying, “What’s the age limit?” Faldo made the epic reply through a tweet using his official Twitter account. However, only time will tell whether Norman will be able to qualify for the 150th Open. At the same time, it will be interesting to see if he gets an organizers exemption.
