Sergio Garcia has remained on top of his game for much of his two-decade-long career. He has 11 PGA Tour and 16 DP World Tour victories under his belt. Despite not being a part of this year’s Ryder Cup squad, he was still in the limelight when his fellow countryman, Jon Rahm turned to him for advice.

But, to remain focused after an illustrious career as this is difficult. Complacency strikes and before you know you’re slacking. So, where does the man, who has inspired countless young golfers, turn to when he himself needs motivation?

Warren Buffett, the American businessman, holds sway over professionals from various fields, sports persons included. It’s not surprising that the 43-year-old golfer finds inspiration from the billionaire investor who has also stayed at the top of his game for more than six decades.

The Spanish veteran quoted the 93-year-old billionaire in his latest video. In the Instagram post, Garcia is seen practicing with his friends. The former World. No. 2 is honing his skills at approach shots, putts, and tee shots before his next LIV events.

Talking about the value of discipline for success, he quoted Warren Buffet, “If you let yourself be undisciplined on the small things, you’d probably be undisciplined on the large things, too.” Garcia is set to play at Jeddah and Miami, the latter being the season-ender. “Next to Jeddah, then Miami, it’s a wrap.”

Laughing with his friends, while practicing, the 1X major winner does not seem to be much affected by the Ryder Cup snub. Even if he was, he has gotten over it quickly. The Spanish international was one of the first Europeans to congratulate Luke Donald on his Ryder Cup victory.
