The ‘God Did’ singer has been an avid golfer himself and has even appeared in a PGA Tour commercial before. But ahead of Daly’s comeback, the 47-year-old spent quality time with the golfer, which is evident through the posts on his social media account.

In one of those videos, the two-time major championship winner is seen sharing the screens with Khaled, who praised Daly and called himself a “huge fan” of the golfer. In another scene, ‘Long John’ is seen adjusting Khaled’s grip for his swing, which the latter admitted to not having tried before.

But upon hitting his tee, Khaled was satisfied with the improvement. However, what did the fans make of his new swing? Among a plethora of comments, some lauded the rapper for his improvement. “Not too shabby, Mr Khaled!” one user said, while another commented, “That swings looking a lot better.”

However, others were less praiseworthy with their words. “Can Khaled even make a full swing with that gut?” one said, while another one replied, “I swear dj khaled has been golfing for some time now. He still doesn’t got it.” A netizen went as far as commenting, “Dj kahled shouldn’t even be mentioned in the same sentence as John.”
However, a netizen summed up the pointless criticism of Khaled’s swing perfectly. “People criticizing a non-golfer, like most of you, for picking up the game and shadowing a golf legend, as if he’s unworthy. Bunch of lames,” the user said.

How is John Daly prepping for his comeback?

The 56-year-old has been recuperating well since undergoing full knee surgery last year. But having stayed away from the game for a while, things will undoubtedly be difficult for the golfer initially.

Yet, the seasoned veteran will be looking to get some game time in his legs ahead of the season’s major championships. Having won the Open Championship and the PGA Championship before, Daly will be vying to secure another big triumph in the twilight of his career.
