Nelly Korda leads the LPGA Match Play roster
The Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown is the LPGA Tour’s Match Play event that features the top female golfers from across the globe competing as teams representing their countries. The event was last played in 2018. After 5 years, it is now back on the Tour’s schedule and will be played during the first week of May.

Four players from the top eight countries will be on the roster for the event, with the countries being USA, China, Korea, Japan, Sweden, England, Thailand, and Australia. Among the 32 players, Nelly Korda is the highest ranked, being second in the world. Joining the world rank 2 is also the LPGA star Lexi Thompson, Danielle Kang and Lilia Vu, making team USA a strong contender!

The 2023 event will be the fourth edition of the International Crown and will be played at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco, California. At the end of the four-round match, only one country will be left standing and will also literally be crowned the best golf nation in the world.

The LPGA Tour recently released the 32-player roster for the event, and the fans were on their toes. Seeing their favorite stars represent their countries also brought out boundless excitement in them. “Can’t wait to join and watch my favorite LPGA players in actions!” wrote one fan on the post. Another person commented, “So looking forward to this!”
