Instead of the usual 72 holes, the event will be played over only 54 holes this week. Last year, Canadian golfer Brooke M. Henderson showed her remarkable skills and won the title with a final round score of 12-under-par. In a playoff, she triumphed over Lindsey Weaver-Wright. Henderson has participated in this competition every year since she made her debut, and this year’s viewers can anticipate seeing her play in full swing to defend her title.
Weaver-Wright lost the title, but this year she is coming back in full action to claim her first maiden LPGA Tour victory. The former World No. 1, Atthaya Thitikul, will also play in the tournament. Joining them is Hyo-Joo Kim, who hopes to add another championship to her resume after winning the Lotte Championship in 2022. Despite these big names, the event will miss Lydia Ko and the current LPGA sensation, Rose Zhang.
