The LIV Golf Tour, which was once a myth to many, has now officially come to life, and how. Greg Norman’s Saudi-funded league has successfully managed to lure out some of the most talented players to join them. The new tour was a threat to the PGA Tour, and so Commissioner Jay Monahan made a clear statement. The statement said that any player who joins the LIV Golf Invitational Series will be suspended from PGA. But Greg Norman’s conversation with Sergio Garcia showed that the LIV Chief had a different perception about what was going to happen.

Greg Norman’s LIV Golf conversation with Sergio Garcia goes viral on Twitter
In a recent tweet, Golf Magazine writer Dylan Dethier shared a few screenshots of WhatsApp conversations between LIV CEO Greg Norman and Spanish professional golfer Sergio Garcia. The conversation includes long texts showing how Greg Norman was very confident that no actions will be taken by the PGA Tour against transitioning LIV Golf players.
Interesting to see how insistent Norman was (in these texts with Sergio) that the PGA Tour wouldn't and couldn't suspend players.

Their chat began with Garcia asking Norman if things were going well. He also mentioned that some young golfers, who were excited to join LIV earlier, were now “shi**ing their pants“. Norman asked Garcia to name the players and said everything was going well.

Garcia continued and said that the PGA Tour allegedly reached out to some players, and “scared them a bit”. However, Norman didn’t seem to care much about the possibility of any actions being taken against players. “They cannot ban you for one day let alone life. It is a shallow threat,” the LIV Chief said.
Golf fans react to viral LIV Golf conversations
The screenshots immediately went viral as soon as fans saw them on Twitter. Golf fans from all around the world, especially those in support of PGA, are giving various reactions to their chats. People were not sure if the screenshots were credible, so Dethier attached another screenshot which stated the authenticity of the screenshots and wrote, “these are from the LIV lawsuit — Exhibit 6, one of my favorite exhibits thus far.” Here are a few reactions from the fans on Twitter:
His lawyers should be proud of his “get it in writing” instructions

The old saying "if you have to think about it, the answer is no" would be probably a good idea when considering LIV. Although I probably would join if not in ideal spot like Spieth, JT, Colin, etc.

To be fair, he said “cannot not ban you,” so he’s essentially saying they were forced.

Greg Norman was surely overconfident about PGA Tour’s reaction to their players joining LIV Golf. However, Jay Monahan’s statement made it all clear to the fans as well as thegolfers. Some players like Bryson DeChambeau still wanted to play in the PGA Tour after joining LIV. But they are unfortunately banned for “betraying” their former tour.
