LPGA golfer Brittany Lincicome has returned to the LPGA Tour after the birth of her second child, Sophia. Despite being a mother of two, the 37-year-old hasn’t called it a day.

Instead, Lincicome delivered an ambitious response in the press conference on the eve of the Pelican Women’s Championship. She expressed her delight on her return, saying it was “just so cool” for her daughters to watch her play.

As it is, the event stands perfectly for Lincicome’s comeback journey. The Pelican Golf Club remains host for the tournament, as it has been since 2019. For the Seminole-resident, the course is “right down the street from home,” which makes it accessible for her young daughters.

When asked whether the presence of her loved ones would affect her performance, Lincicome spoke otherwise. She asserted that her daughters’ presence during their mother’s job would be beneficial. “It’s just so cool to get them out here and let them see everybody and see what mommy does for a living,” she said.

Lincicome also spoke on how being a professional golfer with two daughters watching was an altogether different feeling. “It’s cool to be a professional golfer but now have two daughters watching what I do and maybe one day they can kind of follow in my footsteps or at least just play for fun,” she said.
She further reiterated how much she loved the game and was excited to be back, albeit a bit short of practice.
Lincicome feels the event is perfect for a comeback
In terms of location and accessibility, the Pelican Women’s Championship is the perfect comeback haven for Lincicome. Being closer to her home, she can bring in her kids to the event.

However, the 2-time Major Championship winner did mention her shortcomings when it came to practice on the course. “I don’t know if I’m ready. It’s either going to be really good or really bad,” she revealed.
