Scottie Scheffler landed at Memphis with a whopping 1936-point advantage over No. 2, Xander Schauffele. Although World No. 1 emphasized he won’t judge his season based on how good or bad he plays these three weeks, all eyes will definitely be on the burly man of 6’3” from Texas. It would be fitting Scheffler can cap off his season with a FedEx Cup victory. Here are the weapons the two-time major winner will be relying on these three weeks.
Scottie Scheffler has a mixed bag of TaylorMade, Srixon, and Titleist
On top of Scottie Scheffler’s bag is the TaylorMade Qi10 Tour Issue driver. The core (dot) head Qi10 has a lower spinning rate, which lets world No. 1 have more control over the ball’s flight. The Dallas resident uses an 8° loft with a Fujikura Ventus Black 7X Shaft.

The world no.1 is 4th in strokes gained: off the tee. Scheffler is not the most powerful hitter on the Tour (average distance: 301.4 yards), but he comes inside top-20 in driving accuracy.
For 3-wood, Scheffler picks Qi10 with a 15° loft and Fujikura Ventus Black 8X Shaft. Again, the Qi10 offers more forgiveness and better control of the ball flight, with a reduced spin rate.
Moving to irons, Scottie Scheffler carries both Srixon and TaylorMade irons in his bag. The Srixon ones are two utility irons: ZU85 3 (20°) & 4 (25°). They are paired with Nippon N.S. Pro Modus 3 Hybrid Prototype 10 X Shafts.
The shaft is a blend of steel (inner core) and graphite (outer cover). This offers the world no. 1 feel of steel and the lightweight ness of a graphite body. Compared to the Tour 105, it has a higher ball flight and longer trajectory.

On the other hand, Scheffler also keeps TaylorMade P7TW. These blade irons are designed with inputs from Tiger Woods. Word is Scheffler wanted to try out these irons after watching Woods practice with them in the 2020 Masters.

These irons are fitted with True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 shafts. Similar to the 3-wood, P7TW has a lower spin and lower ball flight. Scheffler ranks first in strokes gained: approach, and GIR%. On average, his approaches land 34’4 yards from the pin.

Scottie Scheffler uses Titleist Vokey Design wedges. SM8 50° gap wedge (12F) and 56° sand wedge (14F) are on top of his bag. For lob wedge, Scheffler prefers WedgeWorks T Grind Proto 60.5°. A True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue S400 shaft fits with the wedges. Scottie Scheffler is sixth in scrambling, but falls behind 111th in sand saves. No wonder he slammed his club on the sand bunker at the 2024 FedEx St. Jude Championship.
Lastly, Scheffler uses a TaylorMade Spider Tour X that he changed early this year. It has an L-neck attached to it. Scheffler uses a 3° loft with a lie of 72°. Putting is Scheffler’s weakest point; he ranks 90th sg: putting. Scottie Scheffler prefers the Golf Pride Tour Velvet grips and Titleist Pro V1. These are the gears in his arsenal during the 2024 FedEx Cup Playoffs.
