“I don’t want to leave, but I have to leave.” That’s straight from World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, referring to how he feels every time he has to leave Bennett Scheffler, his baby boy. Bennett came into the lives of Meredith and Scottie Scheffler on the 14th of May this year. Since then, the 13-time PGA Tour winner can’t help but wait to get back to his wife and son.

Speaking of wins, Scottie Scheffler has been on a fiery streak lately! The 2024 Olympics gold winner scripted one more title under his name after winning the Hero World Challenge on 8th December. Making his 2024 winnings count to 9. During the Tiger Woods‘s event, the PGA Tour pro carded 25 under par, turning all cameras towards him. But there was one more entity that attracted the cameras. We are talking about Bennett Scheffler.

The tiny tot stole the show, and fans can’t get enough of him! The seven-month-old son was spotted during the final round of the Hero World Challenge, cheering up his mom for the 13X PGA Tour winner. It was very heartwarming for the fans to see Scottie Scheffler run to meet his family, waiting to greet him. As Scottie Scheffler cooed and babied his voice, his seven-month-old toddler, Bennett, giggled capturing thousands of hearts over the internet. On the other hand, Meredith, who was feeling proud of Scheffler’s fiery shots, asked Bennett, “Did you enjoy it?”

But the baby, being a little charm, innocently grabbed his father’s golf cap, and the next moment, the seven-month-old was biting it! The couple could not help but laugh at that adorable moment. As Scheffler got ready to head out, Meredith squeezed him and said, “Love you, proud of you, see you in a minute.” It was one of those moments that makes you go aww and fans were totally passing out over Meredith’s sweet sendoff. One fan also declared it as an “absolute perfect wife response.”

Well, Mrs. Scheffler is not just supportive of her family, but of other players as well. When she met Tom Kim, the 22-year-old PGA Tour pro, she greeted him saying, “Oh, I’m so proud of you, Tom.” Kim, on the other hand, was smitten with baby Bennett, who was looking at him with wide eyes, as if seeing him for the first time. “Uncle Tom” pointed out that Bennett had grown up so much since the last time he saw him.

As the family interacted, Meredith was mimicking Bennett’s babble, saying, “Say, I love seeing you play golf!” But, just like any other kid, Bennett started crying when his mom said, “Say Uncle Tom, I’m proud of you.” Isn’t it cool being a toddler? You can ignore, cry, play, and laugh anytime, anywhere, without having to worry about pleasing anyone. And it’s moments like these that make the golf community fall more in love with Bennett Scheffler.

Junior Scheffler was too cute to handle for netizens

As the video went viral, golf fans were awestruck by junior Scheffler’s cuteness. One user pointed out how Bennett was trying to eat Scottie’s hat, saying, “Gotta love it!” while another fan said “Scottie’s wins are double awesome because then we get a peek at sweet Bennett. He’s getting so big!”and we couldn’t agree more. But this is not the first time that the golfer has gone gaga for Bennett. Earlier this year, the Scheffers made headlines at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Scottie Scheffler, unlike many other players, chose to book a hotel distant from the event in order to spend more time with his family in the city of love. The 28-year-old golfer posted cute photographs of himself enjoying Paris with Meredith and Bennett, captioning one post, “Made it to Paris & Bennett loved the Louvre 😂 #parisolympics.”

The trio was also seen at the gymnastics competition, cheering on the American women’s team as they won the trophy. Baby Bennett looked wonderful sitting on Scheffler’s lap, wearing a little Team USA shirt. To which a golf enthusiast said, “Every man’s dream right there, folks!”

It’s clear that Scottie Scheffler has found his perfect balance—breaking records on the golf course and cherishing every moment with his loved ones. One user summed it up perfectly, commenting, “Family goals!” Indeed, who wouldn’t want a loving family, a winning golf game, and an adorable baby boy who steals the show?

And the Hero World Challenge winner is exactly a family man as seen in his previous interviews where the PGA Tour pro opened up about his priorities, saying, “At the end of the day, when we go home, I’m looking forward to doing stuff that’s not golf.” “I like to go home and live my life and enjoy my time at home,” he confessed further.
