Scottie Scheffler’s life as a PGA Tour pro was taking a toll on his personal life. He was spending nights away from his pregnant wife, feeling frustrated and burnt out from trying to live up to the expectations of others. Despite his impressive skills on the course, Scheffler felt like he was losing himself in the process. He would often stay up late with friends, watching TV and trying to unwind, while his wife would head to bed early, exhausted from pregnancy.

In the latest YouTube video by the PGA Tour, Sam Burns, a fellow PGA Tour pro with five wins under his belt, shared his insight into Scheffler’s struggles. “Deep down, it was absolutely burning him,” Burns said, highlighting the toll it took on Scheffler’s mental health. “I was extremely impressed with the way he handled that adversity,” Burns added, praising Scheffler’s resilience. “He’s a great example of how to handle the pressures of the tour,” Burns noted. “I think he’s done a great job of just being true to himself and not getting caught up in all the external expectations,” Burns said.
