Masters is looking tasty! We all know the Augusta showdown is not only about golf but also traditions. One of the most prominent ones is the Champions Dinner, served in honor of the defending champion. This year, it’s Scottie Scheffler. He beautifully won the event last year, and is serving a classic Texas-style dinner, just like he did in 2023. On the Tuesday of Masters week, he is going to be serving delectable Cheeseburger sliders, firecracker shrimp, meatball and ravioli bites, Texas-style chili, steak or redfish, and a chocolate chip cookie skillet. Did something catch your eye on this menu?

Papa Scheff’s meatball and ravioli bites caught everyone’s eye as the menu was revealed. Many fans started joking about Scheffler with comments like “Don’t let Scottie assist with the ravioli 👀”, and, “The ravioli nod post-injury is 🤌🤌.” Reason? Scheffler’s history with this particular dish.

Scottie Scheffler injured his right hand while making ravioli during the 2024 Christmas. He suffered a puncture wound and underwent a surgery. Because of that, the two-time Masters champion started his season late. When asked about how it happened the golfer humbly explained. “So, when you make ravioli, we wanted to make them from scratch. So you’ve got to roll the dough, and you’ve got to cut the dough, but we were at a rental house so we didn’t have like the right tools, and the only thing there was a wine glass that we found. I had my hand on top of it, and it broke.”

Including the same dish in the Masters is ironic isn’t it? Golf diva Paige Spiranac doesn’t think so. Recently she reshared the Champions Dinner menu calling it a “10/10,” backing the #1 golfer in a way. Although she frequently talks about almost all the golfers on her social media it’s rare for her to root for Scheffler.

The last time she dedicatedly supported Scheffler was back in March 2023 when former NHL star Ryan Whitney called him “boring”. “Scottie Scheffler is so disgustingly good at golf and seems like an even better person, Easy guy to root for,” she wrote on X.

We all wait for Spiranac’s picks for major winners, right? It’s her tradition of sorts. Who is she rooting for this year.?

Who Paige Spiranac is rooting for the Masters?

In February this year, Spiranac was asked at the Super Bowl if Rory McIlroy would win a fifth major title this year. Before even finishing the question, she replied: “Yes! I am going to root for him! He’s going to get it done. Every year I say Rory’s gonna win the Masters, and this is the year!” It’s true that McIlroy hasn’t won a major since 2014 and remains without a Green Jacket. Regardless of that, she is loyal to supporting the Irishman. Now, after witnessing McIlroy’s momentum this year, his winning at Pebble Beach and TPC Sawgrass is only a positive sign!

However when asked about the other majors she had Scottie Scheffler in mind. “Rory, Scottie, Scottie, Scottie!” she added. That’s right aside from the Masters for the rest of the majors she believes Scottie Scheffler can come out as victor. Will it come true? Only time will tell.
