Scottie Scheffler emphatically won his maiden Masters title. On Sunday, the 25-year-old professional won his first major championship event and maiden green jacket at Augusta National. Moreover, by registering his fourth win of the 2022 season, the 2022 Masters champion has surpassed two of the golf legends on the PGA Tour’s Career Money Leaders list.

Scottie Scheffler is winning big

The American professional is having the season of his lifetime. Moreover, by winning at Augusta National, Scheffler has recorded his fourth win in six starts in 2022. The current season is the breakthrough season as he won his first PGA Tour event at the 2022 Waste Management Phoenix Open in 70 starts. He won a prize money share worth $1,476,000. Since then, the professional has not looked back. He won his second title at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, in which he won a paycheque worth $2,160,000.

Moreover, with his win at the 2022 World Golf Championship Dell Match Play, he won a whopping $2,100,000, and with his Masters win, he won $2.7 million. As a result, he leads the 2022 PGA Tour Money Leaders list with $10,098,014 in just 13 events. On top of that, Scheffler has now surpassed two of the golf’s most prominent names on the PGA Tour’s Career Money Leaders list.

The World Number One overtook Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer on the all-time PGA Tour career list. The Golden Bear has total earnings worth $5,734,031 on the PGA Tour. As a result, Jack is in 326th position on the career money leader’s list. Not to forget, Niklaus won 73 events on the Tour and is a 19-time major championship winner. On the other hand, according to the 2017 PGA Tour story, Palmer’s earnings on the Tour stand at $1.86 million. However, his name is not on the career money leaders list.

Moreover, Scheffler’s earnings since February 13th stand at $6.77 million. The 25-year-old’s total career earnings stand at a whopping $17,601,992. As a result, Scottie is in the 112th position on the career money list. However, with the rest of the season still left to play, we may expect Scheffler to make a massive leap on the earnings list.

Scottie’s final round heroics at the 2022 Masters

Scheffler fought hard in the final round at Augusta National Golf Club on Sunday. He won with an overall score of 10-under-par. As a result, finishing the event with a three-shot advantage. Scottie carded a final round of one-under-par, 71 to claim his maiden green jacket.

His final round of 70 featured two birdies and all pars on the opening nine holes. As a result, Scheffler moved out in two-under-par, 34. He made two birdies, one bogey, and a single double-bogey on the back nine to win the 2022 Masters.
