The game of golf has seen a lot of golfers exhibit their skills and techniques on the course in an unbelievable fashion. However, none have managed to incorporate the art of precision and science as much as Bryson DeChambeau, who is popularly known as the ‘Scientist’ for a reason.

And, the golfer has once again proved why he deserves the name. With the insane techniques that he has managed to display on the greens. The LIV Golf pro was spotted sharing some of his secrets to the viewers in a social media post that was shared not too long ago, bringing in the power of “geometry” no less!

The 30-year-old pro is known as the ‘Scientist’ owing to his approach to golf that has made science out of the sport. He has been famous for experimenting on the course leading himself to reinvent the best ways to succeed at the game using physics. However, this time around, the professional decided to impart some golf knowledge surrounding geometry.

A post was uploaded on the Instagram handle of the LIV golfer’s team, Crushers GC, in which he was having a small game of golf with Garrett Clark. The video showcases the duo talking about how “putting downhill” is easier when compared to making an “uphill putt” all the while expressing the need to be “super-precise” in the latter’s case.

Clark started off his theory by mentioning how the former is usually “down grain” leading to a “lesser chance of bouncing off line.” However, the Crushers’ skipper was quick to point out how it was but a “part of it,” all the while adding “geometry” to the mix. According to DeChambeau, in the case of an uphill putt, it always falls “away from the hole,” if you push or pull at it. Taking the example of a dead straight putt, the pro explained how it would “fall to the right… away from the hole,” if you “hit it on the right edge” as opposed to the downhill one which would “fall into the hole” since it would be wanting to go down into the straight putt.

DeChambeau has been very famous for using physics in his gameplay. And now, he has revealed the usefulness of Maths to the same. However, he is not the only person who has made use of numbers to help others become better at the game, garnering the praise of even the veteran Rory McIlroy.
