Five of the events will take place in the United States. The second event will take place from July 1st to 3rd at the Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club in Portland. What will happen if professionals join the rival tour?
The PGA Tour has always had a clear stand on professionals having an association with the SGL. Its commissioner Jay Monahan has assured any professional alleging with the rival tour will face a suspension from the PGA Tour. However, the short-time suspension can likely lead to a lifetime ban. It will be interesting to see how many professionals appear in the first event of the new league in June next month.
