Donald Trump talks about LIV Golf Invitational Series
Trump talked about the new tour in a phone interview with the famous American author Micheal Bamberger. He is the author who recently wrote a piece for the Fire Pit Collective about why the 2022 PGA Championship venue shifted from Trump Bedminister to Southern Hills Country Club. Moreover, the interview detailed how he is optimistic that the LIV Golf Invitational Series will do well and that the new tour will attract various famous professionals.
Coming off rather bullish, Donald Trump even talked about the Saudis and their resources. He compared them to rich people like him and expressed how they love golf.
Trump said, “Saudi Arabia loves golf. The top guys there love golf. They’re incredibly wanting to do this and they’re willing to spend. Everybody’s limited. All the rich guys you and I know are limited.”
He added, “We’re all limited, because we don’t wanna lose $100 million a year for the rest of our lives. Right? But Saudi Arabia has unlimited pockets, and it’s good for the country and it’s good for everything. I think a lot of people are gonna be showing up, to be honest with you.”
Trump’s words indicate that the LIV Golf Invitational has enough money to sustain itself easily. And with the huge prize money at stake, it will attract a lot of famous names in golf. Not to forget, Trump Bedminister will host the third event of the LIV Golf Invitational Series in mid-July. That is, of course, if the league moves forward as planned.
