It is not often that the fans of a sport all come together to agree on something. There is always some sort of disagreement. In golf, especially, fans have their own views and opinions, and this often leads to intense debates. So, in those rare instances where they do band together, the seriousness of the matter becomes obvious. One such incident has been about the Swilcan Bridge at the St. Andrews Golf Course. The old course’s most recent update sees the fans united, but this time in celebration.
St. Andrews is one of the oldest courses in golf, and the Swilcan bridge is one of its most iconic structures. The golf world didn’t take lightly to the news of its renovation, but now it seems like the course has turned around its decision.

To the fans, the patio was ruining an iconic landmark. And hence they retaliated, voicing their opinion all over social media.
Seeing the fans in unison caught the attention of the course. With so many dissatisfied onlookers, they took the only logical course of action and uninstalled the patio. In their statement, they wrote, “We believe that we are unable to create a look which is in keeping with its iconic setting and have taken the decision to remove it.”
