Sam Woods and her team held strong despite a tough first half. They kept their opponents scoreless through the second half and overtime. The match culminated in a dramatic game-winning goal by Sienna Barboni. Thus, the team secured the title and offering Tiger a moment of pride amidst the pain.

After losing the TGL match against Atlanta Drive GC on Tuesday, Tiger Woods was asked about his daughter’s win and how it felt to see her soar. To this, he replied, “Well, the core group of girls that were on that team have been together since they were sick, so they’ve played traveled and they’ve played for Benjamin. To be able to end her high school career like that and to go on as a state champion is pretty cool.” 

Sam is expected to head to California and attend Stanford college. He also added her plan for the future and what it meant to the Woods family. “She’s going to Stanford in the fall, so everything is really trending,” he said, and also added, “She did like the campus, though.”
