Julianna Chan and Sahith Theegala share a very close bond. The latter is almost always the subject of tease by the former on social media and through Chan we get to see Theegala’s personal life, albeit with a funny angle. Her most recent Instagram story is another glimpse into the life of the Houston resident.

The story had a pic of Sahith Theegala posted by the Pepperdine University’s Golf page from his university golfing days and also, a photo of the Houston native taken very recently. And we have to agree. The similarities are uncanny, as without the beard Theegala looks just like the 20-year-old version of himself.  This is some ‘Paul Rudd’ level magic going on here.

Theegala’s girlfriend Julianna Chan was quick to point out the similarities between a young Theegala and the current one without the beard. “Sahith clean shaved last week so he literally looks the same as this pic rn,” said Chan in her story.

The 27-year-old golfer must be hoping that looking like his younger college self could bring some freshness into his game as he tries to snatch a second PGA Tour victory at the Torrey Pines Golf Course. Additionally, if fans weren’t aware, Theegala has an impressive college track record. He is the University’s first National Player of the Year award recipient as well as their third three-time All-American award winner. Theegala also boasts the best scoring average in Pepperdine History(70.61), the most below-par rounds(74), the most wins(tied at 4), and has made the All-West Coast Conference First Team three times.

He ended his college career by winning the triumvirate of awards – the Fred Haskins Award,  Ben Hogan Award, and Jack Nicklaus Award becoming only the fifth player in 30 years to sweep all the national awards in the same season. The Houston resident turned pro in 2020 and has slowly established himself as one of the top golfers in the nation

The 2023 Fortinet Championship is one of the top-ranked players in the 2025 Farmers Insurance Open field and without the extra weight on his face, he should be in prime condition to challenge for the first spot.

Either way, we will have to thank Julianna Chan for taking us down memory lane with the photo comparison. Their bond is the apt description of “couple goals,” here’s why you might think.

Sahith Theegala shares a close bond with his girlfriend

Julianna “Juju” Chan met Sahith Theegala at Pepperdine University. The pair connected over sports with Julianna Chan being a part of the University Swimming Team.

Juju is known to post about her life with Theegala both on and off the court. One of her most viral posts came after the Tour Championship in which Sahith Theegala came 3rd and went home with prize money of $7.5 million. She posted a TikTok teasing Theegala regarding their airplane seatings. Chan jokingly said that despite the huge prize money, the 1-time PGA Time Tour Winner did not fly out in a private jet after the tournament. “He is being financially responsible or whatever” Juju captioned her post, teasing Theegala’s frugal nature.

Juju is a great source for seeing the other side of Sahith Theegala’s life. Another instance was when she revealed that Theegala had a fanboy moment when Tiger Woods wished him happy birthday. She posted a photo of the two together at the Albany Press Conference along with the screenshot of a message that he sent her. “Tiger just came and zapped me up and said happy bday big dog. I almost fainted.” Sahith’s message to Juju read.

She is currently at the Farmers Insurance Open, supporting her new-look boyfriend as he vies for his first PGA Tour Victory this season. Fans will be hoping for more interesting posts from Chan outlining Theegala’s routine.
