Though the reason behind the death is unknown, Jon DeChambeau had been facing the battle with pancreatic and kidney diseases for several years. His professional golfer son announced the distressing news with a heart-wrenching caption.
Jon DeChambeau’s battle with kidney issues has been known around the golf world. In 2014, both of his kidneys failed. However, he finally received a new kidney from his longtime buddy, Ron Bankofier.
The transplant helped Jon elongate his lifespan and watch his son claim his maiden Major victory at the 2020 US Open. After the unfortunate loss, Bryson DeChambeau gave his father one final goodbye on Instagram.

On his Instagram page, where he has 873k followers, DeChambeau broke the news of his father passing away. He posted some of the beautiful pictures he had taken beside his late father. Nonetheless, it was the caption that melted the hearts of millions.

Bryson DeChambeau wrote, “Love you Dad. Im sad to see you go but you’ve been through way too much pain in this life”. Watching his father suffer for so many years, Bryson shared that in a way he is happy his father doesn’t has to suffer anymore. He wrote, “I’m so happy you are at peace. Now you get to be with me and watch me at every event I play”.
In the end, Bryson thanked his father for being such a devoted parent. Bryson wrote, “Thank you for being an amazing Dad and I’ll see you in the next life. Life is short. Take every moment you can with your family and say I love you”. The fans immediately shared their condolences in the comments section.
