Phil Mickelson, 52, was allegedly the first one to extend his support towards the LIV Golf league. Ever since his transition, several other players also left the tour and joined the league.

However, the remaining PGA Tour players were not very happy with their fellows moving to the new league, especially Rory McIlroy. The Irish professional has clearly stated his feelings about the LIV Golf league and Greg Norman several times.
McIlroy has been trying to avoid sharing common space with LIV golfers. However, professionals from both leagues are currently competing together at the Dubai Desert Classic. And no matter how much McIlroy might hate it there, his game is definitely as classy as it has been in other tournaments, if not better.
The golfer took the lead today at the tournament by hitting four straight birdies during the third round. All his fans are congratulating him for his spectacular performance. But to everyone’s surprise, Mickelson also mentioned the golfer on Twitter talking about his game in round 3! “What a great -7 3rd round by @McIlroyRory in DUBAI to open up a 3-shot lead.
