Golf enthusiasts and fans say goodbye to the “Island Escapism” singer, Jimmy Buffett

From bestsellers to hit music albums to being a businessman, Buffett didn’t stop experimenting. And that applied to his love for golf too. As we already know, the singer has an interest in playing the sport; however, that is just the tip of the iceberg. In 2018, the legend even tried his hand at caddying. At the Chicago Golf Club, the three-time number-one best-selling author caddied for amateur golfer Patricia Ehrhart during a practice round at the U.S. Senior Women’s Open.

As per reports, Buffett had secretly been battling a rare type of skin cancer—lymphoma—for four years. And on September 1, the legend passed away at his home in Sag Harbor, New York. At the time of his passing, the 76-year-old was surrounded by his loved ones and music. Hence, perhaps, he received the send-off he deserved.

Now online too, millions of fans have gathered to honor and celebrate his life. And addressing the sad fact that the world will no longer witness the song writer on its greens, the golf community too has paid him homage.
