The LIV Golf league is currently one of the most controversial topics in the golf world. Greg norman has successfully lured out the best of golf talents to join his money-led tour. However, LIV has cost the players in a lot of other ways including their suspension from the PGA Tour. After Jay Monahan’s statement, none of the players in the LIV Golf league were allowed to play in any events on the PGA Tour. But things are not so certain with the Ryder Cup.

Are LIV Golf players currently allowed to play in the Ryder Cup?
None of the players from the LIV Golf league are being stopped currently from heading towards the Ryder Cup. Guy Kinnings, Director of the Ryder Cup, has confirmed the news and said that all LIV Golf players are currently “entitled to play” as legal appeals continue to take place in the dark.
The future of most players such as Sergio Garcia, Graeme McDowell, Ian Poulter, and Henrik Stenson is still at stake. New European captain Luke Donald said that he has no hopes for the issues “to get resolved any time soon.”

Guy Kinnings also talked about the future of LIV league golfers regarding the Ryder Cup. He said, “There are legal appeals ongoing, and until such time the players are entitled to play; and therefore, you know, The Ryder Cup qualification process when it does get announced, then that has to be something that Luke will be working on with us.”

USA Ryder Cup captain’s warning to LIV players
Zach Johnson, USA Ryder Cup captain told the reporters that LIV Golf players may not be able to play in the Ryder Cup. He said, “In order to play on the Ryder Cup team whether you’re top-six or a pick, you must garner Ryder Cup points through the PGA of America. In order to garner Ryder Cup points through the PGA of America,… I’ll let you connect the dots from there.”
After Jay Monahan suspended the memberships of all LIV players, things are not the same for them. To be a part of the Ryder Cup, players also need to be members of the PGA Tour. And it is definitely not the case here. However, the only way for LIV players to participate is by modifying the policies of the Ryder Cup!
