Ahead of the Ryder Cup in Rome commencing in two weeks, everyone is on the edge. Amid this, what’s important is the camaraderie among the players, and European squad’s Rory McIlroy and Viktor Hovland are proving to be great examples while ironically, Ludvig Aberg is playing his best game!
The three are currently playing at the $9 Million BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth Club – West Course. While the fog on the course led to the day’s premature end, both Hovland and McIlroy managed to make the cuts. But that is not what the buzz is about.
They chuckled, and they chatted: Viktor Hovland and Rory McIlroy

The breakthrough star on the European team, Ludvig Aberg, funnily enough, has played better than both McIlroy and Hovland at the BMW PGA Championship. Earlier, both of them had spoken about why Aberg should be on the team, addressing various comments about his presence as a three-month-old professional.
While Aberg sits at 10-under par, Hovland stands at 5-under, and Rory struggled before doing just enough to make the cut. However, the squad might be happy about whoever plays well because that will help them do well at the Ryder Cup.
The fellow teammates are playing together, and two seem to enjoy it the most. Rory McIlroy and Viktor Hovland are garnering attention on Instagram as a video of them chuckling, chatting, and enjoying themselves on the course is going viral. DP World Tour uploaded it and wrote, “Tag your playing partner this weekend.”

Earlier during the British Open as well fans saw the friendship between the two players. Fans are reacting to this camaraderie and getting excited about seeing more of it during the Ryder Cup later this month in Rome.
Is this friendship genuine or is it the need of the hour?
At the British Open as well, a similar incident caught attention when, while waiting for their turn to hit the putt, the stars broke out into a pleasant chat. As per Rory, it was a breezy chat about their lives outside of golf.
A fan is already excited to see them play during the Ryder Cup and commented, “Ryder cup pairing gonna be fun.” At the same time, another was amused that they were busy chatting, and Ludvig Aberg was playing his best game, outshining them. “Acting like they aren’t worried that Aberg is outshining them despite him being pro for 3 months.”
Do you think Viktor Hovland has a contagious smile? One golf enthusiast does.
“Fun to have Victor as a partner. Always smiling.” Rory McIlroy might like Hovland for his smile, too. But he is not his first friend. One of the commenters recalled his history of friendships. “Friends for life, like Rory and Serg – wait, I mean Rory and Poult – wait, I mean Rory and …… never mind.”Some understand that at the end of the day, golf is only a job for these professionals. It provides a living for them, and sometimes, they might need some motivation, too.
“Need a laugh playing 6 hour plus rounds of golf no matter it’s your job is about as much fun as going to the dentist…!”ADVERTISEMENT

But another perspective is about what makes golf one of the best sports.
“This is why golf is the best sport, 50% competition 50% camaraderie!” Rory should not see the next comment or he might feel doubtful about his friendship with Viktor. “In all fairness I think Viktor could be close friends with anyone he’s paired with in record time!”Watch This Story: Despite being with LIV Golf for a year, Phil Mickelson successfully dominates the PGA Tour with his earnings and is behind only one golfer now
