Is Russell Henley the secret weapon Team USA needs to dominate the 2024 Presidents Cup?

Russell Henley has made his mark in the Presidents Cup as he played alongside World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler. The pair played a very competitive and boisterous Tom Kim and Sungjae Im and won their match 3 and 2. So, what clubs did he use to get the win in the highest of competitions?

Henley used to be a Nike man and used both Nike apparel and clubs. However, when Nike left the golf club business Henley made a switch to Titletist. He since has had a fully-stocked Titleist bag that he still carries around.

For his drivers, he hasn’t switched to the latest GT range yet and still uses the TSi3. The driver is meant for the best of players as it is not forgiving but gives great control with ATI face tech as well as high ball speeds and low spin.

Coming to his other woods, Henley uses a TS3 fairway wood and a TSi2 hybrid. For shafts, he uses the Project X HZRDUS Smoke Black 70 6.5 TX for his driver, Project X HZRDUS Smoke Black 80 TX for his fairway wood, and the Mitsubishi MMT Hybrid 100 TX for his hybrid.

His irons are the Titleist T100s from 4 to 9. He uses two shafts for these, which are the True Temper Dynamic Gold AMT for 4-6 and the True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue S400 from 7-9. The irons are for the highest-level golfers. They are beautiful and are known for their impressive feel and control. They are double-cavity designs but are very thin.

Russell Henley is an all-round player, meaning he is good at both his long game and his short game. We already know what clubs he uses for control and distance off the tee, but what does he use to get the ball in the hole from a closer distance?

How does Russell Henley optimize his short game?

Russell Henley doesn’t use a pitching wedge but uses a 48-degree SM 10 Vokey Design wedge. He has a total of 4 of the Vokey Design SM 10 wedges which are the newest wedges by Titleist and Vokey Design, which are one of the most sought-after on the Tour. In addition to the 48-degree, Henley uses a 50-degree gap wedge, a 54-degree, and a 60-degree lob wedge.

His putter is also manufactured by Titleist and he uses one from the legendary Scotty Cameron. This company is also owned by Titleist but they promote the Scotty Cameron brand name as it is known as a very popular and very well-designed putter maker. Henley uses a prototype blade putter design. He also uses the very popular Titleist Pro V1 balls.

Russell Henley will next be playing in the Friday Foursomes with Scottie Scheffler against Si Woo Kim and Byeong Hun An in the fifth match of the day. The tee time for the match is 2:01 PM ET.
