Aside from the $4 million purse at the three-day event, it is a massive opportunity for the anointed Solheim Cup US team player to display her talents alongside competitive golfers from the PGA Tour.

Zhang is popular in the LPGA circuit for her competitiveness and professionalism. She has displayed her edge on many occasions against her peers in several LPGA Tournaments this year, and taken down Tiger Woods’ 27-year-old legacy in her Amateur years. Playing at the Grant Thornton Invitational is a challenging opportunity that will test her skills on a wider platform with the 16 teams that will compete against each other.
