Rory Mcllroy has faced a few challenges on course recently. Particularly, his 2nd place finishes in the BMW PGA Championship and on home soil at the Irish Open have led to a couple of meltdowns. The Alfred Dunhill Links Championship was also not as kind to him as he finished at T25.
With the holiday season upon us, we have seen Rory McIlroy try to move away from the stress. And the best way to sow is obviously to dress up for Halloween. We saw him sport the Super Mario outfit for the spooky festival alongside Shane Lowry, wearing a football jersey. But it seems that Mcllroy’s iconic gimmick has been overshadowed again by one of his rivals on the course. Let’s see who won the Halloween dress-up contest.

The pro golfer to beat Rory McIlroy was none other than LIV Golf player, Tony Finau. The former PGA Tour member shared a video of him and his family on Instagram dressed in spooky outfits from the evergreen Michael Jackson song ‘Thriller.’ Finau, along with his family took this video in front of his mom’s resting place dancing the tunes of the song.
While the outfits alone didn’t have much of an impact, what really caught a lot of praise was their performance of the song. Finau and family replicated the exact dance steps performed by the ‘King of Pop’ 1 minute before the main verse of the song’s video.
The dance moves were so accurate and impressive that he received many positive comments from his fans. Let’s see what they had to say.
