“But it keeps the game divided, and I don’t like that. You know, I want the game to come back together,” said a dejected Rory McIlroy ahead of the BMW PGA Championship in England. It has been almost a year since the deadline for the merger of the two leagues was given, yet there seems to be no progress, and the players are already frustrated with the divide.
According to the World No. 3, trying to approach things from a collaborative standpoint is the best way. He believes that all the people responsible for the merger are on the same page. However, “Even if they are all rowing in the same direction, it still doesn’t mean that a deal may get done,” added McIlroy.
