In a recent Twitter video, the social media influencer opened up to her fans about her picks for the 151 Open. She also asked her followers who they thought had a good chance of winning the tournament. While a lot of good names are headlining the tournament, Spiranac had a list of familiar faces in her predictions.

The golf diva wasted no time and jumped right into her list. She began with Tyrrell Hatton and went on to talk about Tommy Fleetwood, Cameron Smith, and Dustin Johnson. As Rory McIlroy’s name came up in the pick, she made an unexpected decision. She mentioned how ‘Rors’ is actually “not a bad pick”.

Earlier, during the 2023 PGA Championship, she had admitted how he always disappointed her in the end. Moreover, during her Genesis Open pick, she recalled her words and said she would never pick him for a major but went on to pick him for the Scottish Open.

The 30-year-old’s disappointment with McIlroy is well known in the golf world, as she did not list the pro golfer as one of the top contenders in the PGA Championship. But, with his current form and the Scottish Open win at a score of 265 (-15), she could not help but choose him as one of her favorite players to win the 2023 Open Championship.

Spiranac began the video by saying that she would stick to what she knew. “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” she added as she started to list out her predictions for the championship. She started with the current world number 13 golfer, Tyrrell Hatton. While finishing at T6 in the recent Scottish Open, the golf diva mentioned how he is a player to look out for if he manages to keep his emotions in check.

Next on her list was Tommy Fleetwood, the current No. 21, who grew up just 30 miles away from Royal Liverpool. She went on to predict it as a “Cinderella Story” if he managed to pull off the win since he is a local favorite. He had managed to finish in T6, tied with Hatton, in the Genesis Open.

The golfing beauty then turned her attention toward the defending champion, Cameron Smith. The current World No. 7 is currently on a hot streak and even found a win recently at LIV’s London event.

Spiranac finished the list with her final pick, Dustin Johnson. Although at No. 79 in the current OWGR, the golfer has previously won two major championships, the 2016 US Open with a score of 276 (-4) and the 2020 Masters Tournament with a 20-under-par score of 268, and has been playing rather well on LIV this year too.
