Rory McIlroy took some time out after his win at the CJ Cup to attend the recently concluded United States Grand Prix. There, he also met and spent time with German racing driver Sebastian Vettel.

McIlroy, who won with a single-stroke lead at the Summit Club, Vegas, recorded his second win this year. The 20-time PGA Tour winner had recently also claimed that when playing well, he is the best golfer in the world.

Finally, with this win, he is proving that point and has established his comeback after a two-year drought during the pandemic.

Rory McIlroy meets Sebastian Vettel at the USGP

Recently, pictures of Vettel and McIlroy together, have flooded Twitter. McIlroy not only met Vettel, but also Nico Hulkenburg and Canadian racer Lance Stroll. Hulkenburg is a German professional racing driver who currently serves as a reserve for the Aston Martin F1 Team.

In the pictures, McIlroy has a tournament VIP pass hanging around his neck as the two meet with a fist bump. Fans were really excited to see these two legends meet and showed their excitement on Twitter.

 

 

McIlroy took to Twitter to express his gratitude after visiting a garage. He said,Incredible experience today going inside the @AstonMartinF1 garage. Thanks, @lance_stroll and @HulkHulkenberg!” In addition, the latter replied to McIlroy’s tweet and said, “It was great having you around!”

Sebastian Vettel joined the F1 racing team, Aston Martin, for the 2021 season, in place of Sergio Perez. Of the couple of races he has participated in, he snagged his first podium finish with a second-place finish at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

At the United States Grand Prix held on 24 October 2021 at the Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas, Vettel finished in 10th place. Moreover, Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing withstood Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes to secure the title.
