Rising Golf Star Reveals ‘Important Things’ That Forced Him to Bypass PGA Tour and Join LIV Golf

LIV Golf has quietly made an incredible move that may put more pressure on the PGA Tour. They have signed the No. 2 amateur in the world, Eugenio Chacarra. Moreover, the amateur golfer has accepted the proposal and will presumably make his debut at the Portland event this week.

Meanwhile, the Greg Norman-led LIV series has made a strategic move by investing in the future. The Spanish golfer will have a guaranteed start for three years on Sergio Garcia’s team. Hence, instead of going the traditional route, he has chosen a different journey. And recently, Eugenio revealed the reason for preferring LIV over the PGA Tour.

“I felt like LIV Golf offered me more important things, like guaranteed starts, play for 3 years, get better, play with great names, play as a team, making new friends, and learning from people that‘s been successful on the PGA Tour,” revealed the world No.2 amateur.

Furthermore, he says he is going to have his entire life set. “Obviously, I’m also going to have my life set for my entire life. So it was all great and all positive things. And I think I’m going to get better and, hopefully, I can play on the LIV Tour for a long time,” concluded Eugenio.

Additionally, he even compared other sports with golf. He said most athletes have their lives secured when they sign with a team or league. However, in golf, even if a player gets on the PGA Tour and has one bad season, he is actually losing money. And this is what LIV Golf is taking care of, which is remarkable.

Moreover, Eugenio Chacarra might even compete on the PGA Tour in the future. Because as of now, there is no confirmation that he will be facing suspension from the PGA or DP World Tour, as he is not a member of any tour yet. So, if this experiment fails, he might even turn to the traditional route.
