The golf world shared its pain with Steven Alker
The well-known partnership between the pro golfer and Workman started in 2019. An Australian caddie and mutual friend, Tony Lingard, introduced the duo. After their collaboration, Alker finished T4 in Exuma, his best finish at the Korn Ferry Tour since 2014. Alker shared their relationship and how deep it was. He said, “Sam Workman has been much more than just a professional golf caddie to me the last four years. He has been a friend, a motivator, a decision-maker, and a fighter. We’ve had some tough times and, as of late, some really good times. He’s been like an older brother to me since we first got connected in 2019.”

Sam Workman was one of the most loyal and hardest working people I’ve met in my life. Couldn’t have be happier for the success he enjoyed on Steven Alker’s bag. Not sure anyone deserved it more after watching him chase it for so many years. A LEGEND of a human. RIP Brother. 🧡 pic.twitter.com/9b143nx4lT
