Thomas looks to win his first Open Championship at St. Andrews. The 29-year-old is currently in great form after winning his second Major at the PGA Championship earlier this year.

With all eyes set on the Old Course, Thomas decided to step out to kick off the tournament in an interesting outfit. However, the fans wasted no time commenting on Thomas’ fashion sense.

Unlike traditional golf trousers, which cover the ankle and down to the foot, golf joggers reveal the ankle. Recently, their popularity has increased, thanks to Justin Thomas. Moreover, joggers are very commonly preferred by people in the United Kingdom, so JT wearing them at the Old Course will only increase their sales.

On the PGA Tour, players like Rickie Fowler and Erik van Rooyen have worn joggers in the past, and last year, a variety of players including Rory McIlroy, Tyrrell Hatton, and Collin Morikawa started wearing hoodies. Richard Mansell even competed in the Ras Al Khaimah Classic on the DP World Tour earlier this year while sporting an untucked collarless shirt.

By appealing to the younger generation, clothing companies like Adidas justify new golf trends. Thomas is undoubtedly still a young player and an inspiration to aspiring golfers worldwide.
