Paige Spiranac often speaks her heart out about all the things happening in the sports world. Despite having quit her golfing career years back, the social media star loves discussing the game with her fans. And a recent picture from the Arnold Palmer Invitational grabbed the golfer’s attention, to which she had a firm response on Twitter. Moreover, her statement about the epic moment also received several reactions from the fans!
The Arnold Palmer Invitational took a surprising turn towards the end of the final round. With just one hole remaining, five players still had a chance to make it to the title. And that could have gotten them a $3.6 million payout along with the spectacular trophy! But shocking all golf fans in the last few minutes, Chico-based Kurt Kitayama claimed the title after a few dramatic shots.
Other than the 30-year-old’s victory in the tournament, there was another thing that took away everyone’s attention during the final hole. While he attempted to putt it into the hole, the ball decided to hang around right on the edge of the hole, leaving each spectator in shock. But what was even more shocking was that the golfer decided to mark the ball rather than just making the effortless putt.

Here’s what some of them had to say:
Most fans said it was the golfer’s way of enjoying the very last moment before his victory. They even said that Victor Hovland asked the player to mark it and take his time.
He wanted to enjoy his moment with the last shot!

While listening to the radio broadcast it sounded Victor had him mark it so he could have his moment ..

Hovland told him to so he could have the last moment. Pretty cool actually.

On the other hand, some thought it was an absolute waste of time for him to do that.
Why would you mark it?

Ridiculous waste of time.

Slows down a long round. Jack said. Game needs to be faster, hit out of turn, I'm talking about plus 10 golfer.

While others simply supported him and said it was his first tour victory. However, they didn’t agree to Spiranac calling it a “power move”.
How is it a “power move”? His first win on tour, anyone would do that. He even asked if he could mark it

I can’t believe you said that. It’s so the other guy can putt out in peace.

No it’s not. Just typical for the winner to putt out last when the win has basically been decided
