John Daly is a strong guy. Besides fighting knee injuries last year, he was fighting a battle against cancer too. But that hasn’t stopped the bad boy of golf from participating in events and living the life of his choice to the fullest.

Besides being a veteran golfer John Daly, is the father of three children. He has two daughters and one son – Shynah Hale. Sierra Lynn and third and youngest son, John Patrick Daly II. And while Daly is miles away, his eldest daughter played the role of a good sibling.

As her father Daly is in the UK for the Open Championship, his youngest daughter Shynah took up the big sister duties today. Today is Patrick’s birthday and Shynah took to Instagram to wish her youngest sibling on his birthday. In her latest Instagram story, she posted a picture of a very young Patrick with a big golf club in his hand. She wrote, “Happy Birthday to my ride or die for life”.

John Daly II also known as Little John, is a copy of his father in looks and sports as well. Daly II has accompanied his father in golf tournaments from a very young age so it is no surprise that he soon expressed a liking for the game and started playing at the age of 6.

He is following in his father’s footsteps and making a name for himself in the golf world. Daly II currently plays college golf at the University of Arkansas just like his father who used to play for the Razorbacks from 1984 to 1987. Upon the occasion John announced his excitement through Twitter, expressing how proud he is. Besides that, he has learned the ropes of Golf in the shadow of his father.

John Daly II and his golf accomplishments

In 2021, Daly Junior teamed up with his father and defeated the Woods duo of  Tiger Woods and his son Charlie Woods at the 2021 PNC Championship. Other than that, he also caddied for his father last year at the 150th Open Championship. They have also played together at the tournament for five consecutive years and have always made it in the Top 10 list. According to Daly, his son has started playing better than him. He has said, “I can’t keep up with him now. He hits it so far.” He has also appreciated his love for the game, “He really does have a passion for the short game. He loves to putt and chip.”

And while he missed making the cut, it didn’t bother the bad boy of golf who went to celebrate at Hooters. Though his children didn’t accompany him to Hoylake, seeing their siblinghood must have made Daly proud and make him forget about his health issues, even if it was just for a while.
