This year Rickie Fowler will be participating in his fifth Ryder Cup as one of the most experienced players for Team USA. He holds an overall record of 3 – 7 – 5 in the competition. Not only did he make a hugely celebrated win at the Rocket Mortgage Garage Classic, but he also maintained consistency with good performances throughout the season. Fowler is among the leading names on the PGA Tour and like other elite players gets sponsored by the top golf brand TaylorMade and Cobra Puma. All his equipment comes from them. Let’s take a look at what ‘Orange Crush’ has packed up in his bag for Rome. 

Driver – The Oklahoma State alum is a proud ambassador of Cobra-Puma. Earlier, he used the LTDx LS model, but he upgraded it to the AEROJET LS Tour Length Driver. It comes with a Mitsubishi Diamana Prototype 70 Xshaft.

Fowler believes the driver helps him be more accurate and hit more fairways. About it, he has said, “I actually went up about a half-degree (in loft) from where I was. The LS is a fairly low-spinning head, which has been great for me.” It retails for $540.

Fairways – For Fairwars he uses the Cobra AEROJET LS and Cobra LTDX LS. The AEROJET fairway is designed for versatile shot-making and plenty of forgiveness to make your long game more consistent and sells for $329. The LTDx LS makes for an excellent driver replacement, while a tour-shaped 5-wood allows for all-around workability. It sells for $200.

Irons – Rickie uses a set of the newer Cobra King Tour Irons. The Kings Tour Irons has a thinner topline and reduced offset. It is a 5-step forged from 1025 carbon steel for a more uniform grain structure and precise shaping. Its CNC milled cavities are filled with a TPU material which both damp vibrations for a more pleasing sound and feel.

Wedges and Putter of the Trailblazer

Earlier, the American comrade used the Titleist Vokey SM8. However, he has made the switch to Cobra King 08 Versatile Wedges with 50, 56, and 60 degrees of loft. On the other hand, incase of putters, he was in the habit of using the Scotty Cameron Newport 2 Prototype but now he uses the Odyssey Versa Jailbird mallet Putter.

For golf balls, he uses the TaylorMade TP5X Golf balls. It comes with a Dual-Spin Cover and its Speed-Layer System is made up of 4 layers. Hopefully, this equipment will aid him in winning the trophy home once again.
