Not a lot of professional golfers sport tattoos, at least none that are visible to us. And it’s not difficult to guess why. However, a few of them do, and Rickie Fowler is one of them. With six tattoos until now, he is one of the most inked golfers to compete on the tours.

Most of his tattoos seem to hold a meaning and are small, yet visible ones. However, let’s see what all he has.
What 6 tattoos does Rickie Fowler have?
Firstly, what’s the most typical way for an olympian to commemorate their participation? By getting a tattoo, of course. And that’s exactly what Fowler did after his appearance at the 2016 Rio Games. He got the classic Olympic rings inked on his forearm to celebrate his achievement of playing on one of the highest platforms for competitive sports.
Besides, Fowler, who has been with fellow athlete Allison Stokke since 2017, got married in 2019. To immortalize his love for her, he got the roman numerals ‘X V’ tattooed on his ring finger. (Their wedding anniversary- October 5, 2019)

Moreover, in a humble and sweet gesture, he has the signature of his late coach Barry McDonnell on his left wrist. He was his swing coach and was pivotal in helping him reach where he did. However, the tattoo is not always visible, as it is concealed by his gloves.

Fowler has a tattoo to honor his grandfather
It is not a secret that Fowler is pretty close with his family. In addition, he credits his grandfather for his golf career, and he was the one who introduced him to the sport as a child. Moreover, he says that his beliefs and habits have played a major role in shaping him as a person.
As a tribute to him, he has his name ‘Yukata Tanaka’ calligraphed on his left bicep in Japanese script. Revealing on Instagram, he wrote, “One of the most influential people in my life and the one who introduced me to the game, my grandpa … awesome to be able to have him here this week walking around and on my arm forever.”

Next on the list is the letter ‘G’ near his left elbow, which we first saw at the 2015 President’s Cup. In a sweet move, this is in honor of Georgia Veach, the daughter of an American pastor Chad Veach. She was diagnosed with a rare brain disorder called ‘lissencephaly’ at only four months old. Fowler met him through fellow golfer Bubba Watson.
He also has a tiny ‘F’ on his right wrist, probably standing for his family name, Fowler. Well, we won’t be shocked if he adds a couple more to his left arm. What do you think of his tattoos?
