Recently, she shared her thoughts on the most annoying part of college football fans.
Spiranac put out another episode of her self-produced podcast, ‘Playing a Round with Paige Renee’. Similar to other episodes of the podcast, she started by discussing some of the latest football matches. However, instead of focusing on NFL, she opted to come a step down to talk about college football.
Paige Spiranac shares an unfiltered opinion on college football fans
Expressing her thoughts on the college football fans, she started by saying, “I feel like they’re an annoying fan base. I feel like college fan bases are the most annoying.”
Going further, she justified her words by opening up about some of her experiences of getting backlashed by college fans whenever sharing an opinion about a specific team. “So I hate Notre Dame (University). My dad played football for Pitt (Pittsburgh Panthers football). So they rubbed me the wrong way. And anytime I will talk sh*t about them online, they get so incredibly defensive.”

Receiving hate is not something new for Spiranac. Ever since becoming an internet celebrity, Spiranac has been a victim of constant hatred on her social media handles. However, for Spiranac, the defensive stance of college fans had a different impact on her as compared to the hate received on her social media posts.
Speaking further about college fans, she said, “They’re people who didn’t even go to Notre Dame. They didn’t even attend Notre Dame. They’ll watch Rudy once in their life. I am a die-hard Notre Dame fan, and that’s what gets me.”

“I don’t care if people are bandwagon fans, it’s when people get so incredibly defensive when they didn’t even go to that school. They didn’t even go there,” she ended.
Criticism Spiranac received
Even though Spiranac spoke about the criticism she received, it was far away from touching her colossal aura, let alone hampering it. Today, the 29-year-old is the most followed, as well as the highest-paid golfer on social media. Steadily building on herself, she today enjoys a combined following of more than 8 million on her social media handles. A feat, she continues to take even further.
