There is still a long road to go! What else can be said when one compares the LPGA Tour with the men’s circuit? Although the domain of women’s sports has come a long way over the years, one can’t help but be reminded of the disparity it experiences as opposed to the PGA Tour, especially when it comes to dollars. Well, Jessica Korda has something more to reveal.

In a Q&A session the soon-to-be mom hosted on her Instagram handle, she urged her followers to ask her questions regarding their yearly travel. Although many queries came her way during the same time, two stood out in particular, and the pro’s answers depicted a concerning situation for the players on the LPGA Tour.

A story was shared on the athlete’s Instagram handle, answering the two questions that her fans posed to her. One of her supporters went ahead to ask about the details surrounding the insurance provided by the women’s circuit, while another inquired about how the expense of the PGAT is different from other tours.

Replying to the former query, the 30-year-old revealed how the tour does not provide any of the sort. However, she was quick to point out how they “have a small stipend” if one “can prove you (sic) have insurance.” Nevertheless, the older Korda sister made sure to express her displeasure with the whole situation as she divulged her thoughts on how this is an area that they are “really lacking.”

Continuing with her stories, the 6X LPGA Tour champ went ahead to give her take on the second part of the quiz. Commenting on the men’s circuit, she disclosed how the PGA Tour players “get weekly courtesy cars and a credit for a carry car.” But even so, in terms of travel, they face the same situation as their counterparts on the women’s tour, as she said, “They also pay for their hotels and airfare.”

The prize money for the 2023 CME Group Tour Championship that took place in Naples summed up to a total of $7 million, including the $2 million given to Amy Yang for emerging victorious at the same event.
