2025 Ryder Cup Team USA Captain Keegan Bradley played a stellar Sunday Singles match against the electric Si Woo Kim. Bradley, a golfer defying the odds, continues to dominate professional golf tournaments such as the BMW Championship and the Presidents Cup. No wonder, he has been chosen as the captain for the prestigious Ryder Cup.
Amidst the victorious roar of Team USA, Bradley was asked what he thought of being a playing captain in the Ryder Cup next year. Bradley has answered this question multiple times before and has maintained that he would only play in the tournament if he qualified on points. He again reiterated the same, saying, “I would love to join these guys and play next year. I don’t know how that would ever be possible. But I’m going to push that down the road. Like I said, if I make the team on points, I’ll consider playing, but outside of that, I won’t do that because this is really important to me next year.”

There is still a long way to go for the Ryder Cup which will take place in the second half of next year. But Bradley has proven his worth as captain’s pick in the Presidents Cup and made important contributions whenever called upon. On the first day of the tournament, he and Wyndham Clark came out on top in a tense match against Taylor Pendrith and Christiaan Bezuidenhout, with Bradley making a clutch putt to win the match.
On Sunday he clutched again, as he made a huge contribution and took down a player who is statistically the best player for the Internationals, Si Woo Kim. This point took the tally to 15 and a half and won Team USA the Presidents Cup. With his distinguished service, will he be called upon to play in the Presidents Cup again?

After Bradley clinched the Presidents Cup by beating Si Woo Kim by one hole, he was overcome with emotion. He said that he was so stressed that he couldn’t eat anything in the morning and felt like throwing up. He also jaunted down memory lane to the last time he played in a tournament like this. That was the Ryder Cup in 2014 where he lost the point that lost the Cup to the Europeans.
He then said if this is his last round as a player, adding “maybe it is,” then he would be happy with that. Indeed, this could be his last match-play tournament as a player since he has maintained that he will not be picking himself as a captain’s pick to play in the Ryder Cup, with extremely tough competition for places in the USA Team. But, as he said, the story has a happy ending with him going from the man who lost a point in the Ryder Cup in 2014 to becoming the man to win the point that won the Presidents Cup in 2024. And Destiny may have something even more exciting planned for Keegan Bradley next year. How do you think the future would pan out for Bradley? Let us know in the comments below!
