Jon Rahm finished the 2nd FedEx Cup playoff tied to 8th rank. Instead, Patrick Cantlay won his second consecutive BMW Championship with just one shot difference at Wilmington Country Club. However, what followed after the event, kudos to the Rahm family, is what touched the hearts of many.

The Spaniard met his American wife, Kelley Cahill while attending Arizona State College. The couple got married in 2018. Rahm and his wife share two children, Kepa and Eneko. The younger one, Eneko, was born earlier this month on August 5th. However, his elder son Kepa, who is 1-year-old, is already a supporter of the 2021 US Open winner.

What gesture did the one-year-old son of Jon Rahm do?

Being called dad by your baby for the first time is something many parents wish to witness and hear. However, Rahm’s joy came after he heard a story post his performance in Wilmington.

Though Rahm moved to the United States at a young age, he always has represented his Spanish origins. He still speaks in Spanish at some of the events. So to hear his offspring also speak his native language, it surely must have melted Jon Rahm’s heart.

The 27-year-old Spaniard said, “I got a video yesterday of Kepa watching me on TV. And he says the word ‘AITA,’ which is ‘DAD’ in my native language, as he’s pointing at me, which is really, really cool to see.”

Jon Rahm’s love for his family and home country is an authentic example of loyalty. It is a widespread phenomenon of how devoted the people in Basque Country are. Athletic Bilbao, a Spanish football club that also represents and promotes talents only from the Basque Country, is also very close to Rahm’s heart.

Besides that, Rahm has remained loyal to the PGA Tour while many others moved to the LIV Golf. Family, love for his home, and Golf, Jon Rahm, has got it all right, hasn’t he?
