Golf fans can thus sit back and relax while enjoying their Canadian Open at the Hamilton Golf Club, which has such an amazing topography and an interesting origin. Well, don’t you want to know how the renovated golf course looks?

Colt’s Hamilton is renovated to bring back a touch of the past.

According to the official PGA Tour, it was “a month before McIlroy’s seven-shot triumph” when Hamilton Golf & Country decided to undergo an improvement plan project in 2019. However, it was soon disturbed as per the COVID-19 protocols; during this time, drone technology was used to continue with the plan. With its distinguishing topography, the new golf course transformed its tees, bunkers, and greens on all 27 holes. The PGA Tour also reported, “There would also be a new irrigation system, practice putting green, and a new practice area.”

To pay respect to the golf architect Harry Colt’s design from more than a century ago, back in 1916, the new plan used all the available designs. Another addition was also brought up. According to the famous architect Martin Ebert, “The club’s original set of 1914 drawings from Colt included ragged edges, additional depth, and “fescue eyebrows” near the bunkers, which players will see once again.”
