Bryson DeChambeau expressed his frustration towards the PGA Tour
DeChambeau recently opened up about a current setback he is facing with his decision to join LIV Golf. The golfer talked about the situation, saying that he is still part of the LIV Golf lawsuit after many other players have backed out from it. And the reason behind it is that the PGA Tour has refused to pay the golfer his PIP money from the last season.
DeChambeau said that the tour was not allowing him to do a “First Tee Appearance”. And hence the golfer would not be able to fulfill his PIP duties. “One of the reasons why I’m in the loss is because they haven’t paid me the second half of the PIP money,” Johnson said. “The money isn’t the significant part, it’s more the principle. And it’s really been frustrating to tell over the last six years”.
According to DeChambeau, it has been very frustrating for him to ask the PGA Tour to pay him the second half of his well-deserved PIP money. But ever since LIV Golf started luring out players from the PGA Tour, the former tour has been adding hindrances for the players who left.

They will not allow him to do a First Tee appearance which would complete his PIP duties. #GrowTheGame
Incredibly petty from the PGAT. pic.twitter.com/YeNc8Cg52U

And this might be one of the reasons why DeChambeau is not being allowed to fulfill his PIP duties.
Fans react to Bryson DeChambeau’s situation
Golf fans are not ready to understand the golfer’s side of the story. Their hate for the new LIV Golf league is never ending and they are willing to impose that on every player that transitioned. And the same was seen in the comments section of the video where DeChambeau opened up about his current situation.
Most fans on the internet decided to taunt the player for his decision to allegedly ‘quit’ the PGA Tour to join LIV Golf.
I thought that Bryson doesn't need the money anymore because of how generous LIV is?
— Jared Barnard (@JaredBarnard6) October 27, 2022
They didn’t fire him, he quit. See what your employee does when you quit.
— Johnny Abraham (@theybedem) October 27, 2022
He left willingly. How many people are allowed to work for two competing corporations in any other industry?

While others simply asked the golfer to quit crying and move on in his career. The fans said that the golfer was well-aware of what he was doing and the repercussions he might have to face for his actions.
He should have completed it before he sold out. If I leave a company before year end, they don’t pay me my bonus. Why should he be any different? Same as world golf points. they knew the ramifications. Quit crying.

It’s not petty he is no longer affiliated with the PGAT . So move along nothing to see here!

Some even thought that it was funny of DeChambeau to be talking about principle after leaving behind his PGA Tour legacy.
Oh he has principle now??? Cut the crap.

No matter what the fans say, DeChambeau’s appeal for him to be paid the PIP money he deserves is going unheard. The golfer is still part of the LIV Golf lawsuit, while many other players have backed out from it. However, the chances of DeChambeau receiving the PGA Tour money after joining LIV are pretty much null.
