Ahead of the 2022 PNC Championship, Player has confirmed his participation with his grandson and will look to claim the Father-son title in Orlando. The upcoming PNC Championship has already gained massive anticipation. The two-day event will take place at Ritz Carlton Golf Club in Orlando from December 17 onwards. With Tiger Woods and John Daly already confirming their participation, many other giants of the sport are publicly announcing their commitment to the exciting team event.
Gary Player looks to claim the PNC Championship title with his grandson
Earlier today, Player announced his participation at the PNC Championship on his Instagram page. Though the Hall of Famer has two sons to play alongside at the Father-Son tournament, he wishes to enjoy the company of his grandson, Jordan Player.
Jordan is the son of Gary’s second son, Wayne Player. Though yet to make his professional debut, Jordan has been a frequent visitor at charity golf events. Moreover, the Grandpa-Grandson duo is also seen sharing their personal golf takes on social media. However, in a recent post on Instagram, Gary confirmed The Players for the PNC Championship.

“En route to the @pncchampionship with my Grandson @jordan__player”, wrote the Black Knight. He further shared his excitement about competing next to his grandson by writing, “Looking forward to another special week competing together”.

He ended by writing, “Bettering our T10 finish of last year”, hoping to have a better finish at the tournament compared to last year. The Players ended the previous year’s PNC Championship with a total score of 126, earning them the 10th position.
Though the fact that Gary Player is 87 years old may result in the odds going against him, it’s impossible to forget about the 9 Major titles won by the ‘Black Knight.’ Regardless, it will be great to see the Hall of Famer swing on the golf course once again.
