Can Keegan Bradley's leadership bring the Ryder Cup back to the U.S. after Europe's last victory?

The 2025 Ryder Cup is going to get as expensive as it can. The Bethpage Black has decided to raise the amount of tickets to as high as a whopping $225 for the practice round. Additionally, if you are looking forward to watching the tournament live from Friday to Sunday, you will have to pay a staggering $750 per day. Nonetheless, the craze around the biennial tournament is so high that the spectators will visit, no matter what. At least that’s what the hope is. After all, fans make or break the environment at such patriotic showdowns!

The World No. 1 too is hoping for the electrifying yet respectful environment at Bethpage in 2025. He spoke about it on the recent episode of Golf’s Subpar podcast wherein he was being interviewed by Colt Knost and Drew Stoltz.

When they asked him about being able to make it to Bethpage and have a shot at defeating the dominant European team, the American professional replied, “There’s a reason it’s hard to win on foreign turf in the Ryder Cup. It’s challenging. But I’m excited to get back on home turf and get another shot at those guys.” Europe reclaimed the Ryder Cup trophy in the last edition with a 16.5-11.5 victory over the United States at Marco Simone Golf & Country Club in Rome, Italy.

This year, the American Team hopes to finally defeat them. And so does Scottie Scheffler. “It’s one of those weeks where you just take your hat off and shake hands. It’s great being in there and competing,” he added. Scheffler also spoke about how the Canadians were somewhat less welcoming to the American Team at the Presidents Cup, which caused the misunderstanding between Xander Schauffele and Tom Kim.

The energy at events where patriotic feelings are at stake is truly unmatched. Fans are feeling it, athletes are feeling it, and it’s just something in the air that makes everyone a bit more enthusiastic. “Guys go crazy, and they celebrate,” said 2x Master winner about how things can get out of hand at times. But at the end of the day, one should remember that they are all friends! He is hoping that the environment at Bethpage remains more civil, and fans do not disrespect the European golfers by any means.

This year, Keegan Bradley will be leading the American Team. Before his name was finalized, rumors were that Tiger Woods would lead the squad but already had too much on his plate with being associated with the PIF merger. While the announcement was made in September, it came as a rather surprise to a lot of the players, Scheffler being one of them.
